Our Aertight Server Platform is the perfect Terminal Server

Sounds like a big claim, but we've got the specs to back it up! Our business started out as an IT Systems Integrator supporting engineers and developers just like you. When we started Aertight over 15 years ago, most Terminal Servers were huge boxes that contained tons of RAM and as many processors as the motherboard could handle. Fast forward 15 years and unfortunately, not much has changed with the large manufacturers. Terminal Servers are still usually the largest server you have, and they're a critical piece of your infrastructure.

We listened to clients when we designed our terminal server platform.

Clients told us they really wanted the following:

  1. Ease of Maintenance- You built the terminal server, but you're not always around to maintain it. Sometimes, it needs to be isolated internally too, so there isn't any internet-based remote access to it.
  2. Industrial Grade- Warranties are great, except using them is a hassle. Pair that with trying to get a replacement drive into a secure facility, and you're much better off having gone with industrial, long lasting parts to begin with.
  3. Modularity- You really care about your terminal server but upgrading every 5 years is a nightmare. If you could have easy modular parts to just ship to site and have an operator install them, that would be great. 
  4. Security- Encryption is really important, so how do you keep the terminal server secure?

The Aertight Server Platform provides the following for Terminal Servers:

  1. Ease of Maintenance- Our server has a touchscreen built in, so even if you don't have remote access, you can coach a user through installing a patch, running a piece of software, checking a backup, ect. Our goal is to keep you functioning on a "Beach in Barbados" with how easy it is to coach operators through the problems.
  2. Industrial Grade- Our terminal server platfrom is rugged, water-resistant, dust-resistant, wide temperature range, with an embedded touchscreen, and fanless. There are no exposed data ports (USB) and no moving parts. The entire system is enclosed in a 16 gauge steel enclosure that can be padlocked.
  3. Modularity- Aertight's patent pending design allows even the motherboard to be field-replaced. All hard drives are SSD's and removable drives. Everything is laid out in a simple design with thumbscrews to remove components (no tools needed). The motherboard is enclosed in a 16 gauge steel cage for protection as well.
  4. Security- Our Terminal Server platform is protected with encryption at rest by a hardware encryption module built right into the motherboard.
